v1.3.0 - Major balance changes
So, I'm quite certain that it felt way too long, and difficult to parse. So - I've reduced the size of the board a lot - which has necessitated some other changes:
- You are no longer restricted to picking straight lines
- I've reduced the amount of cards given back - a lot. You can still keep it going, but you'll have to prioritize bigger hands.
I've made some other changes that are worth noting too:
- Fixed a bug where dragging from the top-left corner would result in multiple other cards selected
- Changed sizes of ranks of cards to make it easier to spot 5 of a kind opportunities, and flush opportunities.
There's also been some changes recently to improve accessibility to screen readers. You can now select cards with your keyboard - using arrows, or WASD, and selecting with Enter or Space. With feedback from audiogames.net, the '?' key now also shows the help.
I've been excited to get feedback, and see this work for people. I'm hoping that these changes haven't taken away any magic. Personally, I feel like I can plan better now. It's easier to play on mobile, and it's easier to look for opportunities to set up a nice high 5-of-a-kind.
I am nervous that I've gone too far. If it feels too tough to you - let me know!
